dragon fight

Leo set up this dragon fight on the couch and took pictures of it. Here is one. Bad things are happening in the world every day and I can't do anything about it, but in the dragon fight, perhaps there is some honor.

Like ancient dreams of glory surrounding a dragon fight, heroism restores a sense of honor, a sense of beauty. Its all in the mix.

I think it was Boris Pasternak who wrote "Heroic life is the root of beauty . . ." from the poem "Autumn"

well, the hero of everyday life has to fight miniature dragons, which makes him or her no less heroic -- it's just the scale of the fight and its consequences that have changed.
