The Mexico vs Iran
Now, I wonder what the American team thinks about W's exit strategy from Iraq. OK, Omar Bravo just scored. The stadium is now alive with green joy....soccer reminds us that everything can change at any minute.
And Mexico scores again! 3 to 1....header to the far post...There are a lot of happy Mexican Americans in Southern California...Iran is trying to keep the game alive, but it looks as if tit is all over at the 86th minute of play...

No attacks, except for the commentators' evocation of being chilled coming into Nuremberg stadium and wondering out loud what the Iranian team might have felt knowing what Ahmedinedinajaob (???) think about Germany's ignominious past.
This is why watching on Univision--the Spanish channel--is an absolute necessity! I honestly think that part of the reason many Americans don't like soccer is because the coverage of it here is staggeringly awful. At least on Univision they show some enthusiasm, no matter who is playing: GOOOOOL! And when any Spanish-speaking team is playing all the better. Plus, former Paraguay keeper Chilavert makes much better color commentary than dishwater Alexi Lalas or John Harkes.
